- I only have the fondest memories of this deck. I had a few from a Sanyo to the heights of the Eumig MEtropolitan CCD, Akais GX9, and some i am too ashamed to name here, the NAKS bx2, rx202, 670zx (that died the logic way of death... no chance of resurrection) cr1, cr2, cr3, cr4. Now i only replay my tapes with a Denon 510. I have to say,. the ones i put on digital (192khz, 24 bit) can be easily detected, where they come from. The best sounding ones are the oned from my cs-f11. The best results i got with TDK-SA´s and some SAX´es. I had the privilege to record the elvis LSP collection of my late uncle. up to 1984 they were virgin ones , I opened the cellphane wrapping first time. Put them in a record washing machine and then played them on my back then stereo thorens td 160, Ortofon MC30 Super, Kiseki transformer, Self designed tube preamp SRPP and the CS-F11. and heavy wirings..... when I play the CD´s that I made off of these Tapes, even hifi dealers are taken back. When I purchased my briks , used ones of course (for those who are no linn/naim afficionados like me, 'LINN ISOBARIK Speakers are the items of ultimate desire), I put in ELVIS IS BACK, not the reprint, the original LSP played first time oto my CS-F11 and then put on CD .... As bobby´s base hits the first bar of FEVER, everybody is taken aback.... and then you can literally see elvis, ho is he moving infront of the mike..... magic! i bought the DCC reissue..... its not as good. sadly my CS-F11 isnt anymore. I died the death of burnt rubber. there was no way, to get it fixed, so I bought the next NAK still missing my cs-f11 if you still have one---cherish it...pamper it....dont take it for granted you only know what youve got till its gone as mine is....
