- I always loved the looks of the LX series and dreaming about owning one when I was young, they were within reach.... So when a friend offered his 700ZXE for sale I knew what to do!
- The ZXE makes great tapes, is so easy to use and has the advantages of the more complex ZXL decks. I always think it is the best choice is you don't want the problems of the ZXL's. It's looks are better then the LX's, they have the 'plastic' front where these babies have real brushed aluminium fronts. According to Tom van der Hoff tape transport in my ZXE was unbelievable steady, he thought compared it to Direct Drive Naks! The only 'problem' is has is the 'Sony' power supply... for some reason a previous owner placed it, but it doesn't give any problems to my beloved 700ZXE!
